Clarksville Fire Rescue seeks job applicants

Clarksville Fire Rescue will accept applications for firefighters from July
10 to July 20. The application process was opened earlier in the year but because of the COVID 19 pandemic, all testing for new hires was put on hold. Individuals who have already applied do not need to apply again.

In addition to a call for more applicants, Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery Jr. has announced CFR will have two open practice dates for the physical agility test from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 11 and July 18 at Fire Station 1, 802 Main St.

Female firefighters will be available at the July 11 practice to answer any questions and give advice to potential candidates.  Parking for the events will be at Fifth Ward Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Franklin St., at the corner of Franklin and 10th Street.
CFR offers rewarding careers with the opportunity to make a difference in the community.

Applications will be accepted online July 10-20 at www.cityofclarksville.com. Look under the “view current jobs” button for the firefighter job posting. Applicants:
● Need to be at least 21 years old.
● Have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
● Have a valid driver’s license. #
