Chuck E. Cheese’s may not use their animatronic animal band anymore

As a kid, the highlight of going to birthday parties or having one yourself was going to Chuck E. Cheese, right?  Of course when I was a kid, it was Showbiz Pizza, but still the same right?  They had the robotic animal band up on stage entertaining you while you scarfed down pizza as fast as you could so you could get back to pumping tokens into the games.

As an adult, you seem to always get a cold or the sniffles a day or two later…or at least I do, that’s why whenever Tyler, my son wants to go there, I always suggest the trampoline place or bribe him with something else….not discounting CEC at all, I love the place and it’s a super great place for kids!  I mean, the security there is unbeatable.

This news kinda pains me…Chuck E. Cheese’s just got rid of the animatronic animal bands in four locations in San Antonio.  Three locations in Kansas City, Missouri are next.  And soon enough, they’ll probably be wiped out everywhere.

The CEO says they’re phasing them out because, quote, “The kids stopped looking at the animatronics years and years ago, and they would wait for the live Chuck E. to come out.”  MY generation didn’t have the option to look away, and now, future generations can’t be traumatized…lol.

So my son plays the game 5 Nights at Freddie’s, which what I take from that game is like getting stuck in a CEC for 5 nights!  EEEEKKKKK, that would be traumatizing!

Here’s my advice, get to Chuck E. Cheese this weekend and enjoy the multi-talented Chuck E. Cheese while you still can….good times, good times!
