Here’s a story about someone who admits he was guilty of it, and hated himself because of it. Chase Rice told “Rolling Stone” that he knew he was making bad choices and wanted to change, but the record company suits wouldn’t listen. Chase shares, “I felt like people were holding me back from the music I could create. That’s no way to live, and it’s weighed me down for a long time. This is actually the first time I’ve talked about it. [It’s] been hell, but when you know what you can do and you’re not able to do it, it feels like a slap in the face.”
Chase finally got up the courage to change labels and he feels liberated. Instead of nonstop songs about partying, he’s been experimenting with different sounds and textures . . . and lyrics that deal with relationships and emotions.
Chase has been working on his next album, which is called “Lambs and Lions”. Chase says, “They’re finally going to see the me I want them to see.” No word yet when the new music will be out.
