Brantley Gilbert doing some good!

Brantley Gilbert has teamed up with Chris Carrabba of the band Dashboard Confessional to raise money for those affected by the shooting at a Nashville area Waffle House on Sunday morning. On Wednesday, the two musicians announced the “I Believe in Heroism” charity, which will raise money for victims and their families through the sale of special t-shirts at their upcoming Nashville shows in May.

Gilbert and Carrabba also met with James Shaw Jr., a patron of the Waffle House who is being called a hero for wrestling the gunman to the ground and grabbing the AR-15 rifle from him. The proceeds of the “I Believe in Heroism” charity will also go to Shaw and his friend Brennan McMurry, who was also inside the Waffle House that day.

Gilbert’s Nashville show will be at the Ascend Amphitheater on May 4, while Dashboard Confessional plays the Ryman on May 11.
