The iconic Aston Martin DB5 from the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger has been found 25 years later. The Aston Martin DB5 was made popular thanks to Sean Connery’s role as Bond, his spy car!
That same Aston Martin DB5, that was used in the movie, Goldfinger, came up on the auction block in 1986. The DB5 was purchased by an American businessman for $275,000 USD at Sotheby’s New York.
Fast forward to 1997, the car was being stored in a Florida airport hanger when the vehicle mysteriously disappeared.
Back in August, it had been reported that very Aston Martin had been found by Art Recovery International. The groups purpose is to search for lost or stolen luxury items. According to the report, they verified the vehicle’s serial number, confirming for sure that this Aston Martin DB5 was the very same car stolen from the Florida airport hangar in 1997.
There is only one little hang-up about the car…the exact location of the iconic DB5 has not been confirmed, it was confirmed that the car is in a “private setting” in the Middle East.
