4 great last minute gifts

With supply chain issues and shipping delays and all that, we’re basically PAST the shipping deadlines for Christmas. And then add in how much you love to procrastinate and . . . yeah. Suddenly it’s December 24th and you’re out of luck. So what do you do? You could always buy gift cards . . . but that feels so impersonal.

Here are four ideas for good gifts you can buy at the last minute that go a step beyond.

1. Buy a digital product. Buying a present for someone who loves video games? Those are all digital now . . . and you can buy them a download code. You could also buy someone an app, an online course, or a streaming service subscription.

2. Buy an “experience.” Buy concert tickets, tickets to a football game, a vacation, or any other future event. Then give the person a printout of the tickets or just write on a card, “We’re going to see Hoobastank” and watch their face light up with joy.

3. Order curbside pickup. If you don’t have time to shop in a store for a gift, you can always buy something online and then pick it up in stores. There are now more than 1,100 stores offering curbside pickup . . . so use one to grab a gift on your drive home.

4. Send them Bitcoin. Bitcoin prices are down right now, but one day they’ll go up. Or they won’t. Who knows? That’s part of the fun. You can give Bitcoin and other crypto as a gift on Coinbase and Cash App as the gift that MIGHT keep on giving.
