Clarksville, TN—On Thursday, September 3rd, Wyatt Johnson Automotive Group of Clarksville acquired the Clarksville based Gary Mathews Kia and Gary Mathews Volkswagen franchises.

Wyatt Johnson Automotive Group will add the Kia and Volkswagen brands to the current list of franchises which include Buick, GMC, Toyota, Hyundai, Subaru and Mazda as well as certified pre-owned vehicles.

The Kia and Volkswagen stores are located along Riverside drive and support nearly 50 employees.

“This acquisition is really exciting for our team who continues to grow and sharpen their skills in this industry,” shares Katherine Johnson Cannata, Dealer Principal. “We’ve developed a successful business model that we want to implement at the Volkswagen and Kia stores. It revolves around our core values which include building relationships, being fair and ethical and also being results driven.”

The Kia brand includes both the stylish Kia Sorento and the fun Kia Soul, each of which have been awarded the highest in their class in initial quality by J. D. Power.

The Volkswagen brand is well known for the prestigious Volkswagen Jetta and the sporty and striking Volkswagen Passat, which is assembled at the Chattanooga, Tennessee manufacturing plant.

The Clarksville area benefits from this acquisition because the acquiring dealer is locally owned and operated, meaning profits remain in the community.

Visit the new Wyatt Johnson Kia Volkswagen store today at 505 and 511 North Riverside Drive in Clarksville, Tennessee.
