Work week weather: Sunny skies for Wednesday and Thursday, chances of rain expected every other day

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – While there is a chance of rain most days this week, expect mostly sunny skies throughout Wednesday and into the day on Thursday.

The National Weather Service indicates there is a 90% chance of rain on Monday, as well as an 80% chance of rain forecasted for Tuesday. Then, on Wednesday, expect those sunny skies with a high near 83.

The temperature is expected to continue to rise into Thursday with a high of 89. However, there is a 20% chance of rain after 1 a.m. that night, with rainfall expected for Friday too.

Here’s the day-by-day outlook:

  • Monday: Showers likely before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10am and 1pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. High near 76. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Monday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm, then a chance of showers between 10pm and 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Tuesday: A chance of showers before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10am and 1pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. High near 76. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
  • Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. Calm wind.
  • Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the morning.
  • Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind around 5 mph.
  • Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.
  • Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.
  • Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68.
