CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Hot and sunny conditions will start the week in Clarksville, with highs in the low to mid-90s and only slight chances of rain until midweek, according to the National Weather Service.

Light winds from the south and southeast will offer little relief as heat index values approach the upper 90s. Residents should take precautions during peak afternoon heat and keep an eye on developing storm chances later in the week.

  • Monday: Sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 99. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph in the morning.
  • Monday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
  • Tuesday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Tuesday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then a slight chance of showers between 1am and 4am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph.
  • Wednesday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Calm wind.
  • Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph.
  • Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.
  • Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 95.
  • Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.
