CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We have a solid shot at much-needed rain this weekend, coming with a roller coaster in temperatures.

There’s a 50% chance of rain Friday night, dropping to a slight chance of rain Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures will rise to near 80 on Friday, then drop to only near 60 on Sunday. Lows will drop to the mid-40s on Sunday.

Here’s the day-by-day outlook.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday night: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. North northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
