CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With possible storm damage and flooding predicted for Clarksville, some schools and offices are closing or operating on delayed schedules Thursday.

DAC event canceled

The Downtown Artists Cooperative will not be open Thursday night, and the reception DAC and the Clarksville Arts and Heritage Council had planned for Kitty Harvill and Christoph Hrdina is canceled.

CMCSS closed

All Clarksville-Montgomery County schools and district offices are closed Thursday.

“We have shifted from the delay to the closure due to an ongoing threat of flash flooding and areal flooding and a moderate risk of severe storms with all hazards possible throughout today. There are reports of downed power lines and trees around the community and crews are working to clear them. Please exercise caution if you must travel today.”

APSU going remote

Austin Peay State University will shift to remote operations today, with classes online. Only emergency personnel should report to campus.

Residence halls remain open, and dining services will operate on modified hours for residential students.

Montgomery County delayed

Montgomery County Government offices will operate on a two-hour delay, and open at 10 am on Thursday in anticipation of the predicted overnight storms and potential flooding.

Delay and closure notices can be emailed to news@clarksvillenow.com.
