TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 24 blocked by 4-vehicle crash in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Eastbound traffic on Interstate 24 is backed up for miles because of a four-vehicle crash near mile marker 7.4.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:06 a.m., there is one eastbound lane open, and traffic is moving slowly, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

At 8 a.m., traffic was backed up from about mile marker 9 past Exits 8 and 4 to mile marker 2.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is on the scen,e and the status of the injuries has not been released.

Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be opened back up.
