South of the River Art Tour to feature Montgomery County artists

CLARKSVILLE, TN − The 4th Annual South of the River Art Tour will take place Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at locations across Montgomery County. The free event will feature the work of more than a dozen local artists, with pieces available for purchase.

Participating artists include Peggy Bonnington, Tammy Irions, Larry Cole, Herman Albright, Leonard Smith, Julie Waskiewicz, Ken and Melody Shipley, Leo Adames, Mariah Cox, Tracy Bettencourt, Paula Edwards, Sandra Halstead, Melanie Hazen, Bonita Lacey, Raegan Reynolds, Glenda Sykes, Kris Lee and Jim Diehr.

Each artist will donate one item to a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the Clarksville Arts and Heritage Council and Central Civitan. Bidding will take place at artist sites until 3 p.m., with final bids accepted during a reception at 3:30 p.m. at the Central Civitan Building.

A map of locations and artist descriptions is available on the Central Civitan Facebook page. The event is sponsored by Central Civitan and the Clarksville Arts and Heritage Council.
