CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Saturday, November 2, dozens of families gathered at Governor’s Square Mall to begin the holiday season by welcoming Santa Claus himself to Clarksville.

There to introduce Santa was local magician Russ Nowack, who performed a special Christmas themed show which culminated in the entrance of jolly old Saint Nicholas.

Santa led a procession of excited kids to the mall’s central plaza where he took his first pictures of the season. There to greet the crowd were dancers from Gateway Cast & Crowns with a performance featuring classic holiday tunes.

Santa will be at Governor’s Square Mall Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m-8 p.m. until December 24. Visits with Santa are always welcome, though no outside photography will be permitted.

For information on photos and pricing, visit Governor’s Square Mall online.
