CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A motorcycle crashed with another vehicle on College Street Tuesday afternoon, for the second major motorcycle wreck in one day.

At about 10:11 a.m., the vehicles crashed at 1144 College St. near Staf Orton Automotive, according to a news release from Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien. The motorcyclist was being flown to Nashville by LifeFlight helicopter.

At 11 a.m., only one northbound lane of College Street was open, and motorists are asked to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared.

This is the second motorcycle crash in Clarksville this morning. At 6 a.m., a motorcycle crashed with a truck at Tylertown and Oakland Road.

Wreck on Trenton Road

Police were also working a wreck with injuries on Trenton Road.

At about 10:28 a.m., two vehicles crashed at 3400 Trenton Road, The 180 Church, Beaubien said. The crash was partially blocking Trenton, and motorists are asked to find an alternate route.
