CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Mosaic Church is planning something special as they celebrate the grand opening of their new house of worship on Sunday, Sept. 6.

Senior Pastor Anthony Daley and his wife Julia began pastoring in 2003 in Indian Mound in Stewart County and in 2010 moved to a storefront on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville.  As the ministry grew, they purchased property on Garrettsburg Road, built a facility and moved there in 2012.

As growth continued for the ministry, Daley said they moved into nearby Northwest High School in 2019 and spent a year there as they broke ground and the new 60,000-square-foot building was built.

“We are about five weeks into this new facility and obviously COVID has had an impact on our gatherings, but it’s been a great five weeks,” Daley said.

Outreach programs

Mosaic Church offers a many services to the local community. They have a partnership with Northwest High School supporting various programs, and the church recently received a Community Commitment Award from Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.

The church has also purchased property on Paradise Hill Road and is working with the Department of Children’s Services to build a home to be used as a transition facility for DCS to bring the children. Once opened, Mosaic Church will help provide support for the needs of the children.

Locally, Manna Café and the Salvation Army are just a few of the organizations the church supports. Regionally and internationally, there are self-sustaining ministries in Appalachia, Africa, Honduras and India, among others.

Growing church

Daley said Outreach Magazine named Mosaic Church as the 57th fastest growing church out of the more than 400,000 churches across the nation. The new building comes as the church services grew to around 1,000 to 1,100 attendees each week.

Daley said Mosaic Church is taking the Great Commission seriously.

“Our vision here is simple: make disciples, release ministers. That’s what we say. Why we do that is because people matter, people matter to God, so people are going to be our highest priority and value,” said Daley.

Services on Sunday, Sept. 6, will feature the same morning services at both 9 and 11.

Mosaic Church is at 1020 Garrettsburg Road near Purple Heart Parkway. To learn more, visit mymosaicchurch.us, on Facebook and Instagram @mymosaic.ch or call 931-542-2025.
