FORT CAMPBELL, KY − Join Fort Campbell’s Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation for the Fourth of July Fest Carnival and Concert. The Fourth of July Fest Carnival runs through July 5 and the Fourth of July Fest Concert on July 4 features Blanco Brown opening for Flo Rida and concludes with a fireworks display.

“We are bringing back hip-hop music this year with Flo Rida and blurring the lines between country and hip-hop with Blanco Brown. During the Carnival week, BMW will offer a test-drive event, and on the 4th, Appleton Harley Davidson will promote motorcycle safety through their ‘jump-start’ experience. We’ll feature exclusive energy drinks from Black Rifle Coffee Company and signature Independence Day beverages from Leatherwood Distillery, all of which will culminate with the biggest fireworks display in the area,” said Melissa Schaffner, Chief, NAF Support Division, Family and MWR.

The carnival and concert take place at the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Parade Field located at 6390 Desert Storm Ave., between 47th and 52nd Streets.

Authorized:

Individuals can bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn of the Division Parade Field to enjoy the concert and fireworks. On July 4, umbrellas can be used for shade until 5 p.m. when they must be put away. Safe light-up toys are authorized. Bags must be no larger than 15” by 22” (the size of a standard diaper bag) and should be mesh or clear. Clutch with shoulder or wrist strap and diaper bags are not required to be mesh or clear.

Not Authorized:

Personal fireworks, firearms, federally illegal drugs, outside food or beverages (special dietary needs are permitted), outside alcohol, drinks in glass bottles, grills, coolers, canopies (umbrellas allowed until 5 p.m. on July 4), smoking or vaping on the parade field, signs, banners, flags crowd surfing, and pets (service animals only) are not permitted.

Accessing Fort Campbell:

The events are free and open to Department of Defense (DOD) and Non-DOD ID-card holders; there is a cost though for carnival rides and concessions. TC Freeman Gate (Gate 4) and Gates 1, 7 and 10 will be open for all traffic. Non-DOD ID card holders will be required to obtain a pass to access the installation all days of the carnival except 3 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on July 4. One-day passes can be obtained in-person at the TC Freeman Visitor Control Center, 5004 A Screaming Eagle Blvd., or in advance online at https://pass.aie.army.mil/. Be prepared with a valid photo ID for each person in the vehicle age 16 and over. All vehicles entering the installation are subject to be searched.

Parking:

Handicap Parking is located behind and to the right of the stage when facing the stage. Public parking areas are located near Wickham Avenue and 52 Street and near A Shau Valley Road and 47th Street. There are also many parking lots south of the parade field along Desert Storm Avenue and A Shau Valley Road. We ask individuals to avoid parking in barracks parking lots in order to allow barracks residents to park there.

Heat Illnesses and other Medical Emergencies:

Attendees are encouraged to wear a hat, bring sunscreen and bug spray, and drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. Temperatures are forecasted to be in the upper 80s and 90s during the carnival and concert. Watch for signs of heat-related illnesses.

Call 9-1-1. Find a Military Police Officer, medical personnel (wearing a red shirt), or a Family Morale Welfare & Recreation (FMWR) employee (wearing a heather grey t-shirt with the FMWR logo on the front and Flo Rida and Blanco Brown on the back). If able, seek help at Medical Emergency Tent. There will be feather banners alongside the parade field indicating where the tent is located.

Missing Child:

If you have found a missing child or your child is missing, Find a Military Police Officer or a Family Morale, Welfare & Recreation (FMWR) employee (wearing a heather grey t-shirt with the FMWR logo on the front and Flo Rida and Blanco Brown on the back); call 9-1-1; or go the lost child, lost and found, and nursing room tent at the front right of the stage as you are facing it.

Lost and Found Items:

Go the lost child, lost and found, and nursing room tent at the front right of the stage as you are facing it.

Severe Weather:

If you are outdoors and there is severe weather, evacuate the area and seek shelter in your vehicle or nearby building immediately. If you are indoors and there is severe weather, shelter in place until the severe weather has passed. If there is a tornado warning, seek the nearest indoor shelter and remain in place until the all-clear is given.

Public Safety Threat:

If there is a public safety threat and you are outdoors, do not try to grab your belongings and focus on evacuating yourself and others from the area immediately. Seek shelter in your vehicle or nearby buildings away from the threat immediately. Stay away and hidden until an all clear has been sounded. If you are indoors, ensure doors and windows are closed and locked, if possible.
