Early voting begins for School Board, Assessor of Property primaries in Montgomery County | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Early voting began this week for the Presidential Preference and Montgomery County Primary. On the ballot locally are races for Circuit Court judge, Assessor of Property, Highway Supervisor and School Board.

Several candidates and their campaigns were out in force at the Veterans Plaza parking lot, waving to voters as they made their way to the Election Commission Office for early voting.

Here’s the list of candidates on the ballot, with links to their profiles and candidate forums.

Here is a sample ballot. Note that this is a party primary, and voters will have to state whether they want a Democratic or Republican ballot. Winners of the local party primaries will face one another in the County General Election and State Primary on Aug. 1.

Next up after that will be the presidential election, with state and City of Clarksville elections, on Nov. 5.
