Clarksville Fire Rescue promotes long-time firefighter to Captain

Clarksville, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Fire Rescue promoted a long-time Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighter to Captain this week in a special ceremony.

​C​harlie Knickerbocker​, who has been with CFR for 32 years, spending 19 years as a Lieutenant in suppression, was promoted to Captain during a special ceremony attended by co-workers, family, and dignitaries.

Chief Freddie Montgomery presented Captain Knickerbocker with a certificate of promotion and Rosemary Knickerbocker had the honor of pinning the new badge on his shirt.

Charlie moved to the maintenance division on December 1st.
