CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – In just a few weeks, Alisa White, former president of Austin Peay State University, will assume the presidency of Sam Houston State University.

To celebrate her work and contributions to Austin Peay, the university came together to put on a surprise parade on Friday with students, faculty, and community members all taking part.

The parade, which lasted about half an hour, allowed those who participated to see White one last time before she leaves for Houston, with social distancing guidelines still being followed.
