The Hopkinsville skyline’s biggest fireworks show will be on full display when Red, White and
Oooh! ignites at 9:15 pm on Tuesday, July 4 at Ruff Park. An expanded full evening of family fun is scheduled with food
trucks, activities and music included in this year’s Independence Day celebration, sponsored by Hillcrest Baptist Church.

The evening’s events start at 6 pm when bounce houses, dunking booth and food trucks open to the public. Food
offerings span a wide variety of tastes with Kinfolk Catering, Holiday Burger and Vansauwa’s Taco and Vegan Eats.
Everyone’s sweet tooth will be satisfied with Kona Ice and Heather’s Homemade Ice Cream dishing up treats, including a
free sweet treat offering to the first 1,000 kids, courtesy of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Nashville Christian music artist, Pam Weston, shares her talents under the park pavilion starting at 6:30 pm. The
Knoxville native brings 23 years of country music influence to share and mix with her 11 years of Christian music
experience.

“Red, White and Oooh! takes another step forward this year to offer the community more than just great fireworks.
Thanks to Hillcrest Baptist Church the event will have an entire evening’s worth of family fun,” said Tab Brockman,
Superintendent of Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. “We were happy to still have the event last year even during the
pandemic, but we are excited to expand this into a true evening of activities, capped by a great fireworks show.”

“For years, the Parks and Recreational Department of Hopkinsville has put on a spectacular fireworks show for the
residents of Hopkinsville, and this year is expected to be no different. It is with great joy that Hillcrest Baptist Church has
the opportunity to partner in this endeavor for our city,” said Dr. Joe Bufford, Lead Pastor at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
“We love the people of Hopkinsville and Christian County and are super excited we will have the privilege to be among
the people at this year’s show ministering to them in the name of Jesus. We hope the activities we have scheduled will
be a blessing to all,” Dr. Joe Bufford, Lead Pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Everything except the food trucks are free to the public. Ample Ruff Park supervised parking will be handled by HBC
volunteers. The area also offers additional extensive parking at nearby Hopkinsville Community College and Christian
County High School. The Hoptown Hoppers will be playing a home game on Sunday night starting at 6:30 pm.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to spread out on the Ruff Park lawn. Limited picnic table
seating is available under the pavilion for the concert.
