All I Want For Christmas Is Wider Streets in Clarksville

Photo: The Beaver FM

My family is new to Clarksville. It didn’t take us long to realize what an amazing area this is. But, if I get one wish for Christmas, I would request some wider streets. Would it help if I say please?

It just so happens that my daily travels take me nearly all the way across Clarksville and back. Sure, I get many of the big streets in my path like Tiny Town Road and Wilma Rudolph. But, it’s nearly impossible to cross town without also driving the lovely smaller streets.

I’m looking at you Trenton, Needmore and Allen.

Please don’t misunderstand. I LOVE the fact that we have these beautiful tree-lined streets. That’s part of our charm here. But, the fact that these scenic roads also have virtually no shoulder and tons of drive-time traffic make the commute a harrowing experience.

Eventually I will lose the ability to play the “new guy” card. But, for now I’m hoping it will enable to me get some extra sympathy when it comes to Christmas wishes. Somehow, someway…some slightly wider Clarksville streets? Please and thanks.
