Adkins Lands Award For Charity Work

Country singer Trace Adkins was honored for his humanitarian work at a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday.

The Chrome singer has performed for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and is an active supporter of several good causes, including the Wounded Warrior Project.

And his tireless charity work was recognized at the Country Radio Seminar bash, when officials at the Country Radio Broadcasters organization named him the artist humanitarian of the year.

Adkins told the audience, "What an honor. I do what I can. It's minuscule, it seems. We just try to help out when we see needs. I'm not deserving of this. Thank you very much."
