Country music veteran Willie Nelson has been reunited with his stuffed armadillo mascot after it went missing following a concert in Las Vegas on Monday.

The “Always on my Mind” hitmaker’s crew members realized the stage prop had disappeared as they packed up after the singer’s gig at the Westin Lake Las Vegas resort, and asked venue bosses to scour surveillance videos in a bid to find the culprit who grabbed the keepsake.

Westin executives didn’t have to look for long – a man handed over the armadillo in a shoebox on Tuesday morning, and asked them to pass it on to Nelson.

It was subsequently couriered to the star in California, where he is currently on tour.

Nelson suffered a similar scare last year when the armadillo was stolen from a gig in New York in September.
