Last Night’s Hand in Hand Telethon Raised $44 Million

Last night’s “Hand in Hand” telethon for hurricane relief raised more than $14 million and that total is still growing!!  You can STILL donate by calling 1-800-258-6000, text GIVE to 80077, or go to HandInHand2017.com.

The show kicked off with Stevie Wonder singing “Lean on Me” with a choir which was totally awesome to see from a legend!  Then, Leo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx came out with opening remarks and a story!

There were great performers from all genres that included Dave Matthews, Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Demi Lovato, and Darius Rucker.  The performance I loved, loved, loved was Usher & Blake Shelton on the stage at the Opry!

There were celebrities including Oprah, Cher, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Hilary Duff, and Kelly Rowland shared real-life stories of victims and heroes from the two hurricanes and manning the phones!  The phones were staffed by EVERY CELEBRITY YOU CAN NAME, including Tom Hanks, Ryan Seacrest, Justin Timberlake, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Gwen Stefani, Stephen Colbert, Adam SandlerDavid SpadeJoe JonasKerry WashingtonSteve BuscemiBruce WillisDaniel CraigLupita Nyong’oJared LetoJason AlexanderJon StewartDavid CopperfieldTracy Morgan, and Barbra Streisand.
