Clarksville police investigate dead body found at Veterans Plaza

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville police are investigating the discovery of a body at the Montgomery County Health Department as a homicide.

Police spokesman Jim Knoll says an employee arriving for work just before 5 a.m. Thursday contacted 911 to report a man lying on the ground in the parking lot of the Health Department building on Pageant Lane.

Officers responded to the scene and found the man dead.

Police said Thursday afternoon that the investigation is ongoing but there are no indications of foul play. Detectives are waiting for results from the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.
